Invigilation

It is essential that the show spaces are invigilated at ALL times. It needs 2 people on the ground floor probably sitting in the corridor to cover the 3 rooms there 2 people downstairs probably sitting in the hallway space between the 2 rooms.

If you are in London, please do as much invigilation as possible.

It is recommended that you are at the exhibition as much as possible anyway as it is your work and the best people to talk about your work with visitors is you!

If no one is invigilating we will have to lock the door to some rooms and visitors will not be allowed to enter.

1. show build
starts Tuesday 28 June - 12.30we will meet at Wilson Road (the BA students should have moved all their work out by midday)

we will need to repair walls and paint white where needed— once the space is ready you can start instilling your work

Wednesday 29 June - 10.30 — we need to move a lot of kit from Peckham Road to Wilson Road please meet in the studio at Peckham Road to help

There is a lot to do so please contribute as much as possible, this is a joint show not just a show of your own work.

Several online students will not be coming until Monday 4 July and everything needs to be completed by the end of Wednesday 6 July - attached is the photo of the plan for the spaces again

Monday 4 July - 19.00 - we will have a meal at my house, again food will be provided and soft drinks, please bring your own alcohol if you want some.

2. Assessment everything needs to be ready on your blog by 09.00 UK time Thursday 7 July

Attached is the Unit 2 brief again to remind you what is needed for the assessment. Most of the assessment will be done by looking at your blogs and we will also look at your exhibition but the blog is VERY important

On your blog create a Unit 2 assessment page and curate your blog as you did for Unit 1 — on the page you need to provide :1. link to your symposium 2 video2. link to a specific 500 word post which focuses on 2 things:— a critically evaluation of your creative practice— some thoughts about your future development, what you are planning to do after the MA has finished3. lots of links to evidence of your creative work and reflective thinking - in the same way you did with Unit 1 this can just be bullet points with some comments to explain the links

Your work in the exhibition will need to to switched on and working for the assessment.

3. external examiner visitthe external examiner who comes to check the standard of the course not you individually will be visiting on Wednesday 13 and Thursday 14 July, he will want to meet you as a group on Wednesday 13 July at 14.30 in the show spaces (he may also want to briefly chat with some online students but I will arrange this with you individually)

Your work in the exhibition will need to to switched on and working for the visit.

4. opening night14 July:17.00 - VIP reception and prize giving18.00 - 21.00 - open the public

Invite PDF is attached, you can send this to friends, family and contactsThere will be a bar at Wilson Road but no bars are allowed in the show spaces, however you are allowed to have a small amount of alcohol for your own friends and family if you want to.

5. website please add images and information to the show website here http://www.fineartdigital.org/2016show/admin
see my previous email with your login details - you can add images, video, text and links to your own sitesThis is URGENT - please do this very quickly, you can keep adding images at any time but get something on there quickly

If you email the PDF invite you can also email a link to this website.

6. Group crit in the showWednesday 20 July 13.00 UK time (last day of the show) we will have a group crit in the show with artist Chila Burman. I will attempt to live stream this as well

7. show takedown and official MA lettersThursday 21 July - we need to take the show down and return equipment to Peckham RoadOn that day you will also be able to pick up an official letter with your MA award between 10.00 - 12.00 from Wilson Road, if you are not able to pick it up it will be posted to your permanent address on the University system.

(I don’t think anyone is planning to paint walls black or strange colours, but if you do you will need to repaint everything white)

8. labels and information on price for selling work on Monday 4 July I will email you all with a link to an online form where you will input the name, title, materials and very short description about your work (see the attached photo for an idea of what the labels will look like) and you can the price for your work if you want to sell it.We will use this information to create and print labels and Artscom will use this information if anyone asks about buying your work. If you don’t add anything your label will simply have your name and MA Fine Art Digital so make sure you fill this in one we send the link

9. marketing don’t forget to reply to emails from the marketing team asking for interviews and remember you can do instagram takeovers as well to promote your work and the whole MA show - check the Camberwell blog and social media for examples from BA students http://blogs.arts.ac.uk/camberwell/

10. health & safetyYou need to consider the safety of yourself and others while setting up your exhibition and the safety of people who are visiting, this is common sense and includes be aware if something might fall and hurt someone, and that all electrical equipment is safe. If you are unsure talk to me and don’t leave it to the last minute.Monday 4 July PAT testing is booked, this is a safety check on all electrical equipment for anything that is not new.you can borrow a ladder from the central loan store but you must first do the online ladder training (strange I know but Jack did it in a record 3 minutes!!) click here to do the training https://orb.arts.ac.uk - click on Camberwell and login

11. studio in Peckham Road this summer the studio will be renovated and other major work will be taking place in the rest of Peckham Road - you will need to remove all your own stuff by Friday 15 July, there will be NO access to Peckham Road building after this date.

12. library books and finesyou will also need to return any books and pay any fines before 15 July, or there is a danger you will not be given your MA award until loans are cleared
